Why “Other Duties”
Other Duties as Assigned was created out of a desire to be more present with family while also pursuing what makes me happy: work! Balancing a full-time job while raising two littles and running a household is challenging and I wanted to find a solution to incorporate both more seamlessly into my life. As moms (and parents in general), we are assigned “other duties” (and doodies) that we didn’t even know existed. My passion for planning and organizing projects and events makes me a great asset to help companies and entrepreneurs complete those tasks that aren’t on the forefront but still need attention, leaving them to focus on their main goals and objectives!
Hardworking, efficient and fun is how I would describe my work ethic. Most recently, serving as the Director of Operations for Visit Bentonville, I oversaw large scale events presented in the city of Bentonville as well as the marketing and advertising branch of the organization. Prior to that, I was a Senior Event Manager at Downtown Bentonville Inc., while also growing a human. The majority of my professional years were spent at Northern Arizona University managing the operations of SUN Entertainment, the student activities office that produced over 100 events each year.
No task is too large (or small) for me and I am not afraid to jump in and get my hands dirty! Easy to get along with, team player, passionate about community, equality and being a good human!
If I had it my way, every day would be a summer day!
